Barack opposed the bill because doctor’s are already required to save those babies.
This bill would only have the effect of defining a fetus as being a child, which would then make way for declaring all abortions illegal (if a fetus is a child, then aborting any fetus would be a child and thus illegal to abort).
The law was unnecessary and a sneaky way of circumventing Roe v. Wade.
This video is deceitful.
a baby is a baby is a baby…..God forbid we declare it to be so.
a life is a life no matter how small.

youve got it all wrong. read this article, mostly reason number 1. You are a sick individual who needs to realize that americans protect the rights of unborn eagles but not unborn humans
yes they are live, and yes they are humans
That is very Scary…Sad really too…I just keep praying God is raising His leaders. God help us.
O GOD!!! Forgive us Jesus!!!
My heart is so heavy! We’re believing a lie about this man!
AWAKE O SLEEPERS! Hear the truth while there is still time!
What a bunch of emotional propaganda. You should be ashamed.
actually, there isn’t enough shame in our world today. we should be ashamed that almost 50 million babies have been murdered in this country since roe v. wade.
Why is that women are so quick to kill their unborn children? Killing children inside or outside the womb is still killing children.
Isn’t 40 million abortions (and counting) enough, or is there some magic number before these blood thirsty liberals decide they have gone too far? God have mercy on the USA.
When oh When are the good democrats going to learn that he is a Muslim, and they don’t care About human life. Just look at their suicide bombers. It was A very good video
I differ on this issue.
I think that abortions should be manditory for all liberals. This would have the effect of removing, over time, a huge class of parasites that have preyed upon and destroyed America for far too long.
I am so glad that someone else is deeply troubled by this man becoming elected. To think of that law he supported makes me cry. Why do Christians endorse such a murderer?
Anyone who would vote for Obama has to have a sick mind. If you have seriously looked at his experience, his faith, his loyalty to Muslims and then say, “Yes, I will vote for Obama,” then you are not a red blooded American! This video just gives us all more reason to question his morals also.
I just can not believe this! It is actually interesting to me because as parents we are required to buckle up our children for protection yet we can basically go full term with our baby and then decide that we don’t want it anymore. Also our country has a great way of supporting those who for what ever reason can not or will not support themselves. With that , we end up paying for these abortions for them by paying into the welfare system. Don’t get me wrong because I know there are people who need the assistance but If you believe in abortion then how about YOU pay into that. I am ashamed that our country no longer has any boundaries what so ever and really anything goes. There are more rights for animals then human children. I feel bad for those people who are simply voting BARACK just because he “represents” the blacks and minorities in our country. It really shows how uneducated our country is. GOD is coming soon, better get ready!
For someone like myself who chooses to not believe in a god, religion has nothing to do with how I view abortion. It’s simply someone’s personal choice. Always. You can spout scripture all you like, but to someone like myself it means absolutely nothing. I am a kind, charitable, law-abiding, loving person all on my own without being told I have to be by an organized religion.
Christians – Do you believe in the God Ra? How about Thor? How about Apollo? Hebe? Helius? Morpheus? Leto? Nike? Persephone? Aries? Athena? You get the idea – there’s many hundreds more. Well, I don’t believe in any of them either – My list simply has one more god on it than yours.
We would not be in this evil mess if our nation had continued to embrace the founding principle that America is a Christian nation. The encroachment of liberal debauchery has nearly destroyed the moral fiber of America, and for this reason, promiscuity and rampant sexual frenzy has spawned the concept that aborting babies can somehow rationalize or otherwise condone such behavior. Whether one believes in a Supreme Lord or not is irrelevant, we will all, one day, be held accountable for what we think, say, and do.
“What ye sow, so shall ye reap.” This is not an idle threat, it is a solemn and supremely spiritual promise.
BTW: Anyone catch this? Upon boarding the aircraft as he was leaving a rally in New Hampshire, thus spake the false prophet: “We are the champions, and I am King of the World.”
Boy, is he in for a painful surprise.
I want to commend Jeremy White, he seems to be the only one who has truly done any research on this subject. For the most part, every opinion I have read on this page has been rooted in ignorance and emotion. Abortion is a problem, there is no doubt. However, the rest of the problem that I see is that Christians and other pro-lifers are totally concerned from conception to delivery, but children are on their own after that.
Before you refute this, take a look around your home, how many crack babies do you see, how many severely deformed, mentally retarded, or other wise unwanted children have you brought into your home? You claim to speak for those without a voice but what have you actually done to care for these? Now they are free to LIVE in poverty or die from negligence. I guess that is more acceptable.
I don’t see what is so conservative about your perspective. Save the unborn babies but send the ones that do make it to fight a unjustified and never ending war in the name of patriotism and morality. And before you call decide that I am not a patriot, or call me an un-American piece of trash, realize that I am a proud member of the United States Navy, I have served and continue to serve on active duty with honor.
People who protest the wars do not undermine our troops, many times they are our troops, they are undermined by presidents who lie to them.
Obama is a hope of change from your conservative oppression. I thank God for him every day.
In 1980, as a student nurse, I witnessed an aborted baby left to die. No, I am NOT christian, but I do believe in G-d. Barak Hussain Obama is a Muslum, WITH terrorist ties, NO regard for the US, may not be a natural born citizen —-ergo UNFIT to be president of the US, and is a murderer…..as demonstrated by this infanticide bill.
We have to stand up together and vote third party.
Face it people, in 2000 the US Constitutional standards of choosing our President went out the window when Bush claimed victory and blocked the votes from being counted. For all we know, the “president” may already be decided.
In spite of this, YOUR VOTE COUNTS. YOUR individual voice has impact. Please, help me to send a message to these despots who are trying to overthrow the US….VOTE FOR THIRD PARTY CANDIDATES WHO UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION.
Personally, I’m voting for Chuck Baldwin, Constitution Party.

Brandon,
You are so right. For too long the church has overlooked this issue. That is why in this hour we at the House of Prayer are fervently praying for God to release a Spirit of Adoption on the Church. Not one child should be neglected or unwanted, abused or abandoned while there is a Body of Christ on the earth. We must not neglect the orphan and widow in this hour. Our religion is nothing but talk if we do this. Personally I have a vision of adopting up to 20 children who have been rescued out of sex trafficking or are otherwise on the list of “unwanted” children. An Orphan Justice Center is being raised up here in Kansas City, MO to take in all kinds of unwanted children to love them with the love of Christ. If we are going to pray for the ending of abortion, we MUST be open to adoption.
Brandon,
Well said. I suppose it is better for a fetus/baby to be aborted/killed than to assume it will live in poverty, or be crack influenced, retarded, etc. The Christian community knows the aborted baby goes to Heaven. But the problem is we have still killed a fetus/baby, and those of use who continue to live may suffer some consequences. I occasionally work with food and health issues for poor people and families. One of the personal issues we see is the horrible mental and emotional aftermath for most (not all) women who have had an abortion. This leads to counseling and/or therapy. Because so many of these women are poor, the rest of us pay their bills. Those in the Christian community feel that God will judge America (God’s judgments are not pleasant).
I was in Vietnam during that war. I was in a command position (34th Gen Support Gp) where I could see the influence the war protests in the US began to have on how we conducted bombing etc. For those of us in the command areas, we ALL felt this influence was the primary reason we lost that war. Even the USA does terrible things in war, but if we pull out of this part of the world before we have achieved some of our primary objectives, the moral of the military (as a whole) will suffer for years.
Thank you for your service Brandon. I pray for our country, but whether we stay or leave, Obama or McCain, I think the Islamic extremists are not done with Europe or the USA.
Just a quick summary of Brandon’s post, since he said what he said in a roundabout way, appealing mostly to emotion (something he criticized himself, but still chose to do)…
The basis of Brandon’s argument is this: abortion is ethical because it prevents the suffering of the portion of aborted children who would become neglected, abused, or ill.
Does that make sense? Are the only aborted children those who were doomed to a life of abuse, neglect, or physical or mental illness? Did the legalization of abortion 38 years ago cause an end to the birth of abused, neglected, and ill children?
Brandon, you presented only red herrings, and not very good ones.
Brandon & Jim,
So you would rather abort/kill a baby than let the baby be born and at least have a chance in life. These babies have no chance. Nothing. Although I am a Christian and believe that this is MURDER, I will try not to bring religion in this. We could have killed millionaires, Presidents, “Mother Theresas,” and more. I know kids who have lived in crack houses or had a prostitute as a mother who have come out nothing like their parents & made something of themselves, and I know there are more. You can’t just say you would rather go ahead and kill the child before he/she ever gets a chance to make something of THEMSELVES. If the mother doesn’t want the child then why not still continue with the birth, but give the baby to someone who wants a baby who might not be able to bear children. Abortion should not be a choice, if these people didn’t want kids then she shouldn’t go out and have unprotected sex. These women who go out and get pregnant need to take responsibililty for their actions. This is just sickening. Obama is a scary scary man.
I am so tired of hearing the arguement “save the unborn but send our military personnel into war” Let’s stop ignorance now. I am a veteran. When any person enlists into the “Military” you don’t do so for a college education as so many have reported. Like any other job that offers to pay for education or any other benefit is a perk. Any military personnel made a distinctive choice for themselves to do so. Now, lets go back to the unborn child. When did they make any discissions in the process? I can only say, people are self-centered by nature and it is hard to go against the grain at times and for some it appears that even unjustly if it works they will work it until the very end no matter who it hurts or effects
Food for Thought
I am not a republican and I probably will never be one.
However “liberal” I might be on a number of other issues I am fully against abortion of all forms.
CHRISTIANS wake up! Stop polarizing your faith between 2 political parties.
Julia,
Thank you for the work you are doing. We in the church need to change hearts and minds, and not just the laws. As Christ’s body here on earth, we need to show compasion to the women who are in difficult circumstances as well as be willing to adopt these children who would otherwise be born into poverty or be aborted. But for the grace of God we would be in the same situation. There are many of us here in Dallas who are getting involved to change the lives of those less fortunate then ourselves. May God bless you for your work and may the world know that the American church is Christ’s disciples by the way we love one another.
You all do not seem to recognize that having an abortion is a woman’s choice. It may be the wrong choice, but it is still hers. The baby is using her body, so it’s her decision if she wants to allow that or not.
Defining when a baby is truly alive is already defined in our culture. When a baby is born, then that date is considered their birthday. It is not the day that they are conceived.
There are many features that a fetus has that resembles what being alive is like. They also have use of most of their senses while in the womb. But it is not their life to live until they are born, which is their mother’s choice.
It honestly doesn’t matter if it is “murder”. It is more unethical to take away the choice a woman gets when she begins menstruation. It is her right and (usually) her ability to conceive and bear children. You can not make her go through a pregnancy and give birth if she does not want to. Doing so makes her into a tool for reproduction. She is not a breeder. She is a starter of a family, when she wants to.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
To anyone that says its the womans choice, its not. I am a woman . I have no choice. When God puts a human life inside of you ; allows it to grow and thrive; the woman has no right to take that away, as much as a man has the right to beat the baby out of her stomach.
I’m sorry. But this isn’t about having a choice. Murder should never be a choice.
